American Tall Tales would be a great addition to American history studies or a story telling or tall tales unit study. Even students studying high school level American Literature would benefit from hearing these tales as opposed to reading them. This and other Jim Weiss story CDs make a great tool for helping non-auditory learners develop listening skills in a non-intimidating, fun way. Be prepared to help by answering questions about the CD and allowing time to relisten to passages for those whose listening concentration is less developed. This CD makes enjoyable listening whether your purpose oriented or not. My children clamor for these CDs.
