Can You See What I See? The Night Before Christmas
Illustrator Walter Wick
Publisher Scholastic Press
Walter Wick turns to Christmas themes in this search and find book from his Can You See What I See series. His bright cheery photographs are full of Christmas and childhood nostalgia whether they're shelves full of toys, a mantle hung with stockings, or Santa's sack stuffed with goodies. Children are encouraged to search for a list of items in 12 different photographic scenes. The poem "A Visit from Saint Nicholas" is includes on the endplates. Children will spend a pleasant hour or two searching for all the items hidden in plain sight. A child ages five and up should have no problem finding the objects. Preschoolers may require some help, but will enjoy it nevertheless.
