This was one of a number of virtually identical theaters built in a quick expansion shortly after Sony took over Loews in the early 90s, at the leading edge of the megaplex era. Although very nice for their time — in particular, they featured attractive atrium lobbies over their full length — they were built just before the advent of Stadium Seating and quickly became obsolete. In Chicagoland, three theaters built to this template were the Rolling Meadows, Crestwood, and Streamwood. Is this the one across the street from Target?

Pleasure Island was a nightclub complex at Downtown Disney that opened in and closed in September of , with the area re-developed as The Landing at Disney Springs. Despite the name, it is not related to the island of the same name from Pinocchio , instead featuring a unique storyline that was described through various signs on the island.
